Starting with Gait Mechanics: 

  • In walking, the core must be able to remain stable, with good control of the pelvis and rib position while the hips flex & extend, weight shifts through the feet, the torso rotates in correspondence with the hip movements, and the shoulders remain in stable position with arm swing  

  • We start on your back (supine), then work our way from sitting to standing, and then begin walking!  

  • Once this is established, we will begin to implement functional movements and activities that you enjoy the most!
